Kearsley Scarecrow Festival

On 24th & 25th September 2016 Kearsley will be hosting their second ever scarecrow festival.

In 2015 there were 211 scarecrows in the Kearsley Ward area which includes Stoneclough, Ringley and Prestolee Village. The scarecrows were created by local residents, businesses, organisations and groups.
The Kearsley Scarecrow Festival attracted visitors from far and wide. The committee have decided to make it an anual event and this year over two days. The aim of the event is to bring the community together and raise funds for a local worthwhile cause. Last year the funds raised purchased 7 public access defibrillators which have been installed in the area to make Kearsley a safer place to live.

On the day there will be 7 scarecrow trail maps available in the event programme. You can choose to complete one trail map or all seven. Please come along and support the event it will be a fun day out scarecrow hunting for all the family. Event programmes will be available to purchase at the cost of £2 for 5 locations in the area.
